VISIT FLORIDA and Recommend have partnered to launch a two-year Official Florida Travel Industry Education Program, a specialist training platform for travel agents to become Florida destination experts. Through personalized content and compelling images, travel agents get an in-depth look at the state’s tourism offerings and learn about the diverse vacation experiences that Florida has to offer.

Recommend, published by Worth International Media Group, is a monthly magazine which helps travel agents sell travel by providing in-depth, trending worldwide destination content. The magazine’s educational platform,, is the current source of destination education for well over 42,000 travel agents in the United States and Canada. The website’s contemporary design offers a simple interface that makes them the first choice for travel professionals everywhere.

“We are delighted to work with Recommend on this two-year program,” said Alfredo Gonzalez, Vice President of International Sales & Market Development for VISIT FLORIDA. ”Our objective is to educate travel agents on the diversity of the Florida product through four courses highlighting Beaches, Weddings & Honeymoons, Family and Active Experiences.”

VISIT FLORIDA believes the program will empower travel agents to strengthen their knowledge as brand ambassadors and play a role in continuing the momentum of record-setting visitation to Florida. With more than 98 million visitors in 2014, Florida continues to be one of the most popular states for vacation travel in the U.S.

“We are proud to partner with VISIT FLORIDA to bring the Official Florida Travel Industry Education Program to our Recommend readers with the technology, expertise and destination knowledge that distinguish this robust education program,” said Laurel Herman, group publisher/editorial director of Recommend.
