The Future Of Europe’s Youth – Video

Brian Maguire speaks with young students, and Members of the European Parliament, about their expectations for the future of Europe.

Europe with flags

A Europe of peace among nations has been established. Europe’s younger generations have little consciousness of a Europe at war. For today’s youth, Europe is a land of opportunity, a land, not of peace and security, but of jobs and prosperity.

The disruption and tragedies of the recent economic collapse could seem trivial compared to the revolution of Industry 4.0. As artificial intelligence races through Europe’s offices and factories, millions will face deeply uncertain professional lives.

Unemployment could quickly rise again, but one thing is certain – most of the jobs today’s youth will do, haven’t even been created yet. So, has Europe prepared its young people for Industry 4.0 and the jobs of tomorrow?
