Brazilians plan to travel more in Brazil





The Ministry of Tourism announced on Tuesday (11) report on Brazilian travel intention in July. According to a study, the majority of Brazilians who want to travel the next six months chose a national destiny.

The index reached 73.3%, the highest recorded for the month in the past five years. The survey was conducted in seven capitals with about two thousand people, representing 70% of the tourist flow in the country.

“Brazil stands as a destination of endless possibilities, able to please every type of traveler,” said Tourism Minister, Henrique Eduardo Alves.”There is since of adventure and ecotourism destinations to those who prefer the culture,” he said.

Northeast and Southeast as preferences

The Southeast region also increased the preference of respondents for the second consecutive year.

It is estimated that 29.5% of Brazilians have chosen a destination in the most populous region of the country for the next six months.

Compared with July 2014, there was an increase of 35.3%. The Northeast, however, still appears as the preferred region of Brazil (43.5%).

The Ministry of Tourism Travel Intent Bulletin also revealed a considerable rise of intent to travel by Brazilian destinations among young people under 35 years.

Most (73.3%) have a preference for national tourist destinations.Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 38.5%.
