Indonesia Now Has A Distribution Center To Promote Products Made In The Country In China

Indonesia now has a distribution center to promote products made in the country in China, by opening a distribution center in Nanning office.

Thursday (09/17/2015), the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia inaugurated Window to Remarkable Indonesia (WTRI) centered on China-ASEAN Plaza in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China.

Director General of National Export Development (PEN) Kemendag Nus Nuzulia Ishak said WTRI expected to contribute more in promoting Indonesian products. “I believe the efforts we are doing, Indonesian products will be better known and able to compete with Asean countries,” he said in the inauguration WTRI. 

WTRI, he said, would be an effective new platform where visitors can see directly the products on display, get information about sales prices and other information.

WTRI participants can also benefit from electronic commerce are now commonplace in China. In the Bamboo Curtain country, Indonesia has opened a House of Indonesia, located in Shanghai.

On the other hand, Riau Islands Province as delegates from Indonesia included in the 11 City of Charm in the event the China Asean Expo in Nanning China-12. Riau Islands will be coupled with a city like Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Tavoy (Burma), Hong Kong, Malacca (Malaysia), Chonburi (Thailand), Lao Cai, Bandar Seri Begawan, Uodomxay (Laos), Zamboanga (Philippines) and Singapore. 

Suojin Hu, Deputy Director General of China’s Ministry of Commerce said this year Nanning re-organized the exhibition of products from China and 10 ASEAN countries. “We believe this event will be a success in line with the interests of participants increases,” he said in a Press Briefing in Yongzhou Hotel, Nanning, (17/09/2015).

He said that his office recorded the exhibitor has ordered 5,563 booths, an increase of 21% compared to that prepared by the committee.

A total of 2,207 applicants were accepted as exhibitors will fill the 4,600 booths. Of these 1,296 booths filled participants from 10 ASEAN countries and the countries of non-CAFTA. That number increased 2.9% compared to last year’s event CAEXPO. 

“Six Asean countries namely Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam again showcase their commodity products,” said Hu Suojin. In addition, a number of companies included in the Fortune 500 are also participating in the CAEXPO 12th this year, among others, the Bank of China. As of Indonesia such as PT Qwords Company, PT Natural Indowood, PT Liany (companies silver) and PT Cahaya Mas Global Coffee.

The event will be officially opened 18 to 21 September 2015 covered 205 media from 22 countries and 1,226 journalists attended.
