Wine festivals everywhere in the Czech Republic

September: The wine season starts



Wine festivals

 September is the month of wine in the Czech Republic. The yield is celebrated with great wine festivals.
The wine is drunk all over the Czech Republic in September.
In the traditional wine region of South Moravia you will find the most extensive wine festivals take place: Pálava wine festivals. 11.-12.09, Znojmo historic wine festival 11.-09.12. or Valtice wine festivals 2.-3.10.
In Brno they have wine festivals because of their speciality- Burčák. These celebrations are called Burčákomanie and take place at the impressive castle Špilberk 25.-27.9.

But the vintage is also celebrated in other cities: in Prague’s Troja 12-13.9. and Vršovice 4.-5.9 and Prague Castle 19.-20., Usti nad Labem 4.9., Litoměřice 18-19.9.,  Mělník 18-19.9. and much more.

Also in the castles wine is drunk in September: chateau Kuks, enjoy wine at 12.9, op. Karlštejn 27.-09.28.and castle Kačina near Kutna Hora 12.9.

If you are unable to attend one of these fun parties? You can always pay a visit to the National Wine Centre in Valtice with a great selection of the best Czech and Moravian wines or one of the many Moravian wine cellars.
