Cuba promotes key products of biotechnology in Indonesia

INDONESIA, February 5, 2016.- Cuban products in the biotechnology field leaders were promoted in Indonesia, mainly the Heberpot P, novel and unique drug prescribed for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer.

The use of this Cuban drug has had a major impact since its inception in 1999 both at home and internationally, marketed in countries Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay and has attracted interest from others like India and China in the Asian region .

During the exchanges in Jakarta, business opportunities were identified with companies both public sector and private.

These positive results could benefit trade between the two countries in the field of biotechnology and genetic engineering, and to support the care and treatment of people suffering from diabetic foot ulcer in this country.

These promotional activities are also conducted in Spain, the Philippines and Singapore and were in charge of the official of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Cuba (CIGB), Dr. Dora Garcia Delgado.
