Brazilian theme parks should receive 18 million visitors in 2015

Brazilian theme parks should receive 18 million visitors in 2015. That means one million more people than last year, when the public reached the mark of 17 million visitors.

The projection is the Association of Amusement Parks Companies in Brazil (ADIBRA).

The president of ADIBRA, Francisco Donatiello says that high demand is directly related to changes in the national currency.

“Increased visitation due to the high value of the dollar against the real and increasing supply of water parks in Brazil driven by favorable weather and the great demand,” he says.

To the Minister of Tourism, Henrique Eduardo Alves, the country has great potential to develop the parks market.

“With the rise in the dollar, we have a great chance to attract tourists before preferred to travel abroad for our national parks. We have an excellent offer, the latest technology, but we have to promote these destinations as a great opportunity in favor of the country’s growth, “he says.
