“A truth’s initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. It wasn’t the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn’t flat.

When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.”

Scotland Votes — NO

The Scottish Independence Referendum — Received A No Vote

I was laying awake in Geneva at 3am — suffering from jet lag.

My semi annual trips from Las Vegas to Switzerland are not as easy as they used to be.

I decided to get up and watch the final results of the voting on the Scottish referendum to secede from the UK.

Thoughts started to cross my mind.

Is this democracy in action — or more political shenanigans?

I suspect a wee bit of both.

1.)  Scottish citizens not living in Scotland were not allowed to vote.

2.)  Non-Scottish residents living in Scotland were allowed to vote.

3.)  The voting age was dropped to 16 years old.

How did the above three factors influence the outcome?

I guess we will never know.

Oh well, it is a done deal now — with the exception of a few claiming voter fraud.

Let us see what happens next — will Catalonia become a new nation?

Maybe, I will do a little sentiment analysis during my stay in Spain

US Politicians Craw-Fishing on Amnesty

Politicians Dancing The Old Potomac Two-Step On Illegal Alien Amnesty

Yes, I know, I used the politically incorrect IA word.

However, I cannot keep up with all the word changes in “American English”
that have been created since the year 2008.
I am having difficulties in associating the newly implemented neologisms
such as undocumented citizens — I fail to see a logical correlation
in some of the new words being created and the subject being identified.

Our national leaders are doing the usual imitation of a crawfish — backing out
and denying their past statements on political issues of national importance.
Maybe they are unaware that a crawfish can be trained to stand still.

Amnesty and the legality of specific Executive Orders are in the limelight.

I guess our leaders possess a preconceived perception that the plebeian have a
bottom-of-the-food-chain intellect. This is constantly being reinforced by the
usage of the ancient propaganda technique of repetition — tell them “anything”
and the more you repeat it the more they believe it.

If the political duplicitous squirming being used, as a strategy in the battle for your
supporting up-votes, wasn’t so pathetic to watch it would be a constant source
of proletarian humor — positioning, the battle for your mind.

Those US Citizens incarcerated in “False Narrative Land” and have been
living in political-self imposed- mental solitary confinement — should throw the
brain chains off, come out into “General Population” and engage in non-partisan
constructive dialogue about the “State of the Nation”.

My suggestion on the first item of general discussion is — How/where is our
tax dollars being spent? The effects of the “distribution of tax revenue” , both
domestically and those funds pledged to foreign nations, drops straight down to
the bottom line of disposable household income. This hits everyone and everyone
should be concerned. We ,as a nation, need our government to be held accountable
on this important issue. Transparency — remember that promise?

What if ?? — we concerned citizens could detach ourselves emotionally from
our chosen political party —and House by House, City by City, State by State,
cultivate the populace into the “commonality of purpose of nation building”.

What if ?? — we had a country comprised of millions of individual mindsets that
prioritize their thinking and decision making — What is right takes precedence over who is right.

Reasoning leads to beliefs — it also leads to revision of those beliefs.
